iPad repairs

Easy to tell the difference in the new port and the old one. New port has a nice solid click where the old one if I giggled it around enough and held my breath standing on one leg it might start charging, usually not. Paul

The problem started after I let one of the grandkids borrow it and it was plugged in and charging. Without thinking and in a spontaneous moment the kid grabbed it and took off running to another room without unplugging it. When it reached the end of the cable it jerked hard and came out of his hand and hit the floor. It was never the same again. The cable was destroyed immediately and the pad progressively got worse and worse.

It was an enjoyable experience working on and successfully fixing it. Paul

All you need to see is the difference in the contacts - the left side is terrible.

LOL...Why is the Port so nasty looking? Have you dropped it in the bathtub, a lake? Curious....it does look terrible. Best Wishes, Traveller
