I made a trek there at night, but seeing was by flashlight and footing on hardened lave is difficult, one slip and you can cut yourself on knife-sharpened lava, like glass. You could not gauge the distance and you do not want to get out on the newly formed shelf where it could collapse. I cannot tell how far away I was, but I did not want to take any chances. This was as far as I got!
