The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) prevailed in asking a federal appeals court to revive their lawsuit against several professional licensing boards as well as the Biden administration, alleging the government conspired to violate the free speech rights of certain doctors who criticized the government.
The lawsuit names three professional licensing boards — the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) — as defendants, as well as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
