Kirchschlag1

The late Gothic parish church in Kirchschlag in the Buckligen Welt was built by the people of Pottendorf in the 15th century and later expanded into a fortified church.
The parish church dedicated to St. Dedicated to John the Baptist, it has shaped the townscape of the town for hundreds of years. Here you will find the typical traces of the subsequent adaptation to the weir system.
Shooting bay in the attic, arrow slits, partially walled-up tracery windows and a particularly fortified churchyard gate, which is the only one that has been preserved in the Buckligen Welt.
