I feel like a rant this morning. Ginny and I got new iPhones (15 Pro Max). They are very nice. BUT, they have USB Type C connectors rather than the classic Apple Lightening connectors. I can hear you saying, "So what!" We have about a dozen places around the house to plug Apple devices in for charging. Every single one of them are now NFG because they all have lightening connectors which are now obsolete. To make things more interesting, the charging cables that came with the phones have a USB Type C connector on both ends which means they are no good for our existing charging cubes which use USB Type A connectors. The bottom line is all this is that we need to buy new connectors of the Type A/Type C variety. So we ordered a bunch of them and I have now deployed the upgraded charging cables everywhere in the house. The only reason that I am using Apple iPhones is that it matches what the kids have so we can Face Time easily with them. So today's photo is of the obsolete cables that are going to spend the rest of eternity sitting in a box on the shelf over my work bench.
