Aurora 2024.05.10-12

Earlham, IA

This was some aurora from the 2nd night. I got out a bit later in the evening and the aurora was mostly low on the horizon in the north, showing both green and red. It had a short outburst as in this image where the Big Dipper can be seen at the top and the Moon low on the NW horizon. The IMF (Interplanetary Magnetic Field) turned north and that was that for the evening. Obviously there were a few clouds around, which adds some good texture to the images. It completely cleared just after the aurora subsided.
