giraffe

Jericho Beach

finally the aurora appeared, although not quite as spectacularly as elsewhere...subdued colour was barely discernible, and in form the light show was a bit hazy and vague, like green and purple clouds, apt for west coast viewers

here it wavers in the constellation Camelopardalis, actually known as The Giraffe...the Greek name means spotted giraffe

Well at least you saw some color. We are too far south to see it.

We had them here too, in southern Minnesota they were better than northern Minnesota, the Canadian wildfires filled the air with too much smoke.

Well, I would have been happy to see this much (it was cloudy here), and I think you got a fine shot.

Good for you capturing the Lights! I tried and failed. The colors are gorgeous even if they are a bit muted.

I find it a striking abstract of a world event. Different!

It might not have been as spectacular as elsewhere, but still beautiful, and at least you were able to see it. It was cloudy and raining both nights here, so we saw nothing.
