erosion

Acadia Beach

runoff streams eventually reach the beach, and flow into the sea...wave energy is causing an erosion problem here, with the Point Grey cliffs receding by 7.5cm (2.75 in) per year...the concern is that on top of the cliffs is the university of BC, at least for the moment

A relentless process.

A very refreshing image with the clear water and the sunshine splashing rocks and undergrowth.

A refreshing scene, despite the ominous future.

Incredible POV. The rocks seem huge. Lovely light too. V

I like the point of view for this one. Nice with a bit of blue sky poking through.

Landscapes change! Humans must adjust (and stop speeding up the rate of change).

Love the light and all those shapes and textures.

This is a rugged beach. Terrific capture.
Helen Betts07-May-2024 17:42
Love the subdued light in this great shot, and that sounds like a worrisome situation.
Dan Greenberg07-May-2024 14:57
Cool shot, though it looks more like it is deep in a forest. How close are the buildings to the edge of the cliffs? ~BV~

Love the hint of L light in the top streaming
down over the stream.
