12 My Blue Bird of Happiness (Hitches a Ride)

My bluebird of happiness hitched to ride with me today out in Riverside, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles where I was in the bankruptcy court.

It was remarkable in the sense that I'm certain that this Bluebird thought that my rear view mirrors were in fact other male bluebirds encroaching on his territory and he kept attacking my side-view mirrors, though eventually gave up to feed on seeds or whatever in my windshield wiper wells. It was kind of an astonishing experience to spend 20 minutes with a bluebird posing for me, (or attacking...lol).

But here, let me share with you, you also can have my bluebird of happiness

I may be a birdbrain but have difficulty identifying some bird species. Is this a “bluebird”? Paul

Great capture of an interesting bird and its behavior.

Well, yes I stayed parked, by the train, but generally with the motor on for air-con...I did shut down to let him have his way...with my car....he actually spent some time pecking at my back automobile window...I can hear him still, Pock, Pock, Pock! and then he'd attack the side view mirror again....I am not much of a birder, so this was sheer luck, or frustrated bird sexuality...lol. Did you stay parked the entire time? I hope Mr. Bluebird didn't make you late. Good for you always carrying your camera. I would probably have been limited to my phone.
