The Volhyn Massacre

1943, the Volhyn massacre, truth and memory.
The Volhyn massacre was an anti-Polish ethnic cleansing conducted by Ukrainian nationalists against the Polish minority in Volhynia, Eastern Galicia, in 1943-1945.
The peak of the massacre took place in summer 1943.
The killings were exceptionally brutal and targeted primarily women and children, and resulted in up to 100,000 deaths.

Very sobering reminder of man's inhumanity toward those who are different. Well shot image.
