A short explanation on this gallery.
All images were taken at the San Diego County Fair, 2016-19. The Fair attracts over 1.7 million people annually during a three week period in June and July on an area of
370-acres (1.5 km2).

Visiting the Fair before it opened to the public I noticed how garish and over-the-top the food stands were. The stands do the vast majority of their business after sundown. Then there is smoke, artificial lighting, and crowds of people, but in the morning light without people they looked very different to me.
