Seatown Castle

Seatown Castle is one of Dundalk's best known landmarks and I know if I was a visitor, I'd stop to take a photo. So I did just that when I ventured into town for some groceries.
It's not actually a castle, but the bell tower of a 13th century Franciscan abbey.

fine shot...including the row houses underscores what a singular structure the tower is..

It looks like it will still be there another 10 centuries...a great photo.
