Gathering Near Hayden Valley

Yellowstone National Park

This gathering of bison near Hayden Valley required a long lens due to the distance and my son and I had no intention of crossing the field to approach them. I have seen huge herds of bison in Hayden Valley including crossing the road in the past at Hayden Valley but on this trip the valley was deserted. This was the largest gathering we saw in Yellowstone on this trip.

I like your respectful distance. The diagonal line of the evergreen trees and the two trees closer create some nice depth. Wonderful to see the buffalo. V
