Charleston's St. Michael's Church, the oldest church building in the city. The corneerstone was laid in 752 and the church was opened for services in 1752. Except for the addition of the sacristy the structure has been little changed. St. Michael's is one of the few churches in America that has retained its original design. The church is located on Charleston's iconic "4 corners of law" where historic buildings are used for state, local, national and religious purposes.
