Sydney Opera House with Infra-Red

Circular Quay, Sydney, NSW, Australia view map

0Y5A5250-Enhanced-NRResize.jpg

Camera modified for IR. A 950nm cutoff IR filter was used so the image is monochrome. The colour cast was left as it enhanced the image.

The lens flare was caused by an old tech red incandescent navigation light creating a lens flare pattern as the lens coating is optimised for visible light not infra red.

There are a few white spots in the sky. These are stars & not a hot pixel

Like a light taken from a spaceship. An image of an astronomical beauty. VV.

This is so cool and attractive. Thanks for the technical notes. ~BV~
