restored

Tucumcari, New Mexico

not all vestiges of Route 66 are abandoned and in a ruinous state, some having been restored...still, this place does not sell gas anymore, instead offering souvenirs such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, and metal wall art

That is great to see it being repurposed. A fine composition to capture it. V

Fuel seems rather hard to come by on Route 66. I hope you didn't run out.

Excellent capture showing the essence of the old and the new, with modern-day visitors likely drawn to the station by its vintage allure....it's a fitting homage to a bygone era.....V

A nice historical business well maintained.

I wonder if people stop there thinking they'll get cheap gas and come out with a souvenir.

So cool that this classic was repurposed and is still in use.

cool to see the old pumps, even if not in use, and even better to see a creative re-use of the site. nice one! V

Well composed capture of this gas station-turned-souvenir shop, although it might be helpful to advertise the gifts more clearly.

Well done! I love the subdued light here. It all works compositionally here ~VVV~

I remember this well. I was very excited to find it and that it had been this nicely restored or preserved or whatever. Great composition, David. ~BV~
