The Remains of a G and T

Boulder

After I finished my gin and tonic this evening, I looked in my glass and saw a photo opportunity! This is a 50 shot focus stack, done in camera. I wasn't sure whether the plate was distracting or enhancing, so I took one on the other side, which is just white. I'll put that one in Exhibition. Let me know which you prefer.

Personally I prefer the one in exhibition better. Can’t articulate why, only that I feel it’s the better more Interesting image. Paul.

Hmm. Close call now. I probably prefer this plate for the color contrast with the green zest. But the lighting on this shot is a bit better for the left side rind - juice drops show up better.

Thanks Jim, you're quite right about the other image. I have redone it with a different white balance and some tonal adjustments.

This is the better end result. I think the one in exhibition would benefit from a proper white balance and some added contrast.
