New River Near Hinton, West Virginia

Near Hinton, West Virginia

This image was taken during a visit to the New River Gorge National Park. The distant building with the red roof caught my eye as we drove towards Hinton, West Virginia to explore part of the park. I have been very pleased with the quality of images that the Google Pixel 7 has taken. After photographing a scene with my DSLR I often capture the same image with my Pixel 7 for comparison. I never imaged that I would be posting a gallery of images captured with my phone. How times have changed.

What a magnificent view!
The light is really an element here that one can feel here!
What a great focal point that the little house and red roof make!
I really enjoy seeing this, my friend!

Nice capture of this area. I have found that my phone does a better job in certain light, than I do with my DSLR.

Great shot through the gap. Looks like a fun place to explore. I'm also impressed with my Samsung S23 Ultra for photos like this.

Nicely framed shot of the river, and that red-roofed building really adds interest. I too have found that I often prefer shots taken with my iPhone to those with my Z7. We were planning to go see some orchid exhibit here, and after charging my Z7 battery, I said maybe I could just do it all with my phone and not bring the camera. Or maybe I'll bring both just to compare, like you. V.
