I spent 12 years in the Navy. Actually 11 years, 9 months, 17 days in service. I've come to that point in life where the service and actions from then affect the hear (pun alert) and now. Pursuing help with my hearing and what will eventually come the day for hearing aids. I' have heard horror stories of veterans seeking help with the VA, so far, so good and my Yelp review will be positive- so far. What I am learning is if your "history" isn't in these folders and documented- it didn't happen! Fortunate for me, I had good folks around me when I got out and ensured I had copies, of every single item from the day I enlisted, to my final day. That is all you need to prove your history...
