The Natural Park of the Ports, a massif that exceeds the limits of the Terres de l'Ebre and enters the provinces of Teruel (Aragón) and Castelló (Valencian Country), is a refuge of a very rich fauna and flora. The presence of the Hispanic goat stands out, a species that can easily be found if you go into these mountains. If we travel between the districts of Baix Ebre and Terra Alta, we find extensive wild pine forests, beautiful valleys with oak groves, and also a considerable population of beech, which make it a typical mountain landscape.Other picturesque mountain towns to consider are Paüls, Arnes or Horta de Sant Joan, the natural paradise where Picasso found inspiration.
