Wildflowers in Sydney

Gore Hill, NSW, Australia view map

PB249295Resize.jpg

This cemetery is hidden from view from roads as it has a hedge of trees on the perimeter. It can only be seen from the upper floors of the Royal North Shore Hospital. It is used by students walking from the TAFE College to the railway station.

No longer used or it seems kept clear of weeds as the wild flowers have taken over residence. In November the wild flowers are prolific and the sunny yellow daisy predominates. The headstones are all stained with age as no longer used since 1950s. This provides a sense of contrast.
