For day 5 of my favorite photos from 2023, we are 0.15 miles from my cottage. After big storm, this female Chesapeake Blue Crab did not survive. Female have bright red claws. This photograph taken in September is one of the 3 months that is the best time to catch blue crabs. Irregular weather and pollution are important threat to these crabs.
