:-) These are about 1 inch across, and came in strips of about 12 x 3. I don't do that kind of work, as it needs to look really good for the Mrs. The installers matched the grout - it will be good for years to come. This is on the wall behind the burners, and we never splatter anything on it. Jim

Darkening the surrounding tiles made it more interesting for me. I'm enough obsessive/compulsive that if that was my backsplash I'd be forever cleaning the grout. I saw this after shooting a similar pattern in our house that I (obviously) haven't gotten around to uploading. I'll feel just the slightest bit plagiaristic when I do. Dave
