This beautiful shot reminds me so much of Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens - I used to spend hours there as a kid, wandering around and loving the colours as they changed from summer into autumn into winter

This is beautiful! V I agree that Autumn is brief but if you travel far enough it can last for a few months. We did the Cowboy Trail in Alberta, Spearfish Canyon in South Dakota, went up the Clark Fork in Montana, the Palouse all to end up coming home to the fantastic color on the Olympic Peninsula. The Hood Canal was outstanding this year. All these years and I never realized how tall the Big Leaf Maples are on that side of the Olympics. It was all very good. We miss it more than summer when it's over.
