The first card I purchased was a 64KB (or was it MB?) CF, and for some reason I never opened the package.

I will support Paul - that you could reformat this card in camera and get more life. And I also agree that you should dump it, as it is giving you a sign that something is wrong. It will probably have a short "new" life before it fails again. Cards are reasonably cheap.

Mr. T my rule on advising is limited to photography since everyone of us knows what they are doing. No need for my to try and advise someone who is as or more skilled than myself. See that makes perfect sense. Paul

Yes, chip prices are ridiculous....happy to see. A friend with a 7D recently asked me for any CD cards I might have...lol....I was so happy to find some, the largest I had was 128Kb....I was thrilled to find it and gift it to someone....they laughed and said...that Kilobytes not gigs....lol...so no thank you. Well....Traveller

I didn't even know 16GB cards were still available. I bought a new card (a Sandisk) recently and went with a 128GB against instinct because it was only $20. It will probably cover my next trip unless I shoot a lot of video.

Paul, this was, I think, my oldest card...a 16 gig SD card that can be purchased today for $7.49, brand new Scan Disk too. So, Paul, following your sage advice, out it goes! Thanks, (hey, I thought you never gave advice? But for me you'll make the exception?) Traveller

Resembles one of the old Contac cold medicine ads, minus the colors.

Most likely you could format the card in camera and be alright. BUT… as inexpensive as SanDisk Extreme SDcards are these days I’d hit it with a BFH, pitch and never look back. Paul

Well, I explained how this title came to pass....a few points, we do have a bountiful array of pharmaceuticals available to us...I will probably change this to Cornacopia of Wellness or some such...or I may try to take the image over again. I had my first card failure with 5 shots of this on the 6D II. Strange, my first....should I throw away the card or what? It seems to be working now....but, the card makes me nervous. Traveller

Paul - in many ways I agree with you. However, when the topic is giving thanks, and the title is Bountiful Plate, I have to ask what the artist is trying to tell or show me.

Maybe I’m the odd man out here but in my opinion the title does not make or break a photo, ever. On a scale of 1 to 100 a great or blah title only moves the needle 2 or 3 points.
Thats me, I completely respect that others might have a different view than myself. Paul

I think it is the word "bountiful" that has me confused. For me, when associated with "plate" it implies a lot of food.
I view drugs like diltiazem more like an "essential" for a good life.

A lot of older science fiction writers included the existence of "one pill meals" in their future, and implying that they would replace meals and give you the satisfaction associated with good food and meals. I recall choices of beef, turkey or fish dinners in a dinner pill.

Remember “Contact Tiny Time Pills”? They have different coatings on them that break down at various times during a 24 hour period. Since the uncoated 1/2 life is 4 ish hours your body receives a fairly steady flow of medicine day and night as the coatings breakdown keeping that BP in check. Any other questions……. Don’t call Saul, caul Paul. Paul

Diltiazem 24hr ER (CD): 240mg CP...Initially, I thought a capsule on fine looking restaurant white dinner plate with a shinny knife and fork but it really did not at first look impressive...I thought many be I'd I'd do better opening the pill...I expected a powder...but these little ball bearing capsules rolled out...I guess with different coatings, this makes them time release.

What is strange is that it no longer entirely looks like a pill capsule...though I assure you it is...but all the little striations make it not smooth now, though I assure again it is. Light refraction I suppose...maybe I needed to change the title?

Circuling back to the essential question, macro makes things look different...I suppose, certainly of common things. Traveller

Hmm. I'm not so sure of this path.
What are these?
