The great egret saga: On its way (5/6)

I can’t tell if the egret was dragging something or what, but I hope that wasn’t the case. Maybe somebody with better eyes than me can tell what’s going on! NOTE: Turns out it's bird poop, not anything dangerous.

I never photograph birds in flight, but the last two pictures in this series were my attempts at it that day at Constitution Gardens.

We're all 'relieved' as the egret that it wasn't entangled in something. Nice catch with the rippled reflection.

LOL. If you photograph enough wildlife, you'll also capture a lot of poop and pee. Like in this image.

Nice "coming-at-you" flight shot Helen. The egret seems to be just dumping some ballast, somethings many birds do on take-off.
