Flooding

There has been catastrophic flooding across North Louth following unprecedented rainfall last week.
Homes, businesses, hotels, pubs, and shops have been flooded, roads and bridges washed away.
I've never seen such a natural disaster so close to home and sad to say, the response from the local council left a lot to be desired.
Needless to say, I've been very busy at work, reporting on the devastation.

Sounds like you've had it rough. We've got off quite lightly!

coping with such a large scale disaster must be difficult for councils...every managing and planning body has to raise their game in this unprecedented era of severe weather...a strong portrait of what seems a flooded field...catching the fleeing birds adds a timely touch..

Your council sounds typical. While you were flooded we were burning and people everywhere suffer. I hope you get a rest soon. V

A stunning landscape shot and while also illustrative of the damage floodwaters can cause. It seems to be happening more and more and more.... V
