Spotted this unusual nest as I was heading back to my truck. It was approximately 14' above ground and about the size of a softball.
Because of small size and it was located on a large tree's lower limb, don't believe it belonged to an oriole.
Yes, it has been sitting since breeding season, but the drought we've been under seems to have preserved it somewhat.
