The Things We Don't Notice

Edinburgh, Scotland

Some can afford to enter a nice place to dine and others can’t.
I felt badly when I noticed the homeless person sitting on the sidewalk next to this nice restaurant.
Pretty sure I didn’t see him when I took the photo for my signs gallery.
Amazing how we can become so self absorbed that we don’t see something right in front of us.
I thought about cropping him out but felt it was a more relevant photo to leave him in.

Canon EOS 70D
1/320s f/4.0 at 18.0mm iso100 full exif

Sometimes things become so common that we no longer see them, including people. V

A very powerful image with a sobering story to tell. Truth in photography.

It's a good capture. Sadly homeless people have become a feature in so many of our towns and cities.

a sobering irony for sure...his private lounge is well short of comfortable...so many people are having a tough time of it these days..

and the things we do see and can't do anything about, not easy when you care about everyone but have no power to make things right
