Oink, Oink

Edinburgh, Scotland

We spotted this place to dine while we were walking along the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
I was intrigued enough to cross the street and check it out.
When I saw a whole pig roasting in the front right hand window I just couldn't bring myself to go in.
I could probably talk myself into being a vegetarian if I wasn't so lazy.

Cool find and well done - the photo not the pork... :-)

likely a popular spot with Harley-Davidson riders, although that roasting carcass sounds a bit visceral..

Not sure I'll thinks the same about pork chops ever again.

Interesting advertising and presentation. Well framed shot. "V"
I had to go to their website. They only pork roast sandwiches.
Actually, a good thing when done right. We used to go to one in Cologne next to a Czech bar that sold real Pilsener Urquell and Budweiser.
A pork roast sandwich at 11PM is the ticket!

An interesting looking place, but I couldn’t stomach it. V

Agreed, although I've been a vegetarian for over 40 years.
Likewise the serving size selection chart out front is off-putting as well.

You might have been attracted by the smell through the open door! Great to serve delicious roasts of farm raised hogs, instead of Burgers from the big chains! :) v

Pretty interesting storefront, but had I seen what you saw, I probably wouldn't have wanted to go in, either. V.
