This is the 15th of 15 sequential images of an occultation of Saturn by the Moon on Sep 10, 2001. In an occultation one object passes in front of the other, obscuring the farther object of the nearer object covers a greater angle. Saturn is completely out from behind the Moon, and now we can see that the sky is brightening noticably, the occultation ended at something like 06:10 local time.
My Sony 505v was being used with eye piece projection from an 8" Meade LX-50.
