This budget lens is very soft at f/1.2 but I find that it is a refreshing
change to sometimes shoot with these less than perfect lenses.

The lens is accurately focused on the edge of the near handle, but the
image lacks the clinical sharpness that more expensive lenses produce.
That's not a bad thing, in my opinion. I also like how it handled the
transition from the plane of focus to the background blur.

It's nice to have fun with unusual lenses. I got a very old and not well-maintained 50mm f/1.0 from EBay. Its wide-open images are not sharp but lots of fun. So I appreciate this gallery!

Yes, sharpness is important but overempasized it seems. We don't always see/perceive things as they are pictured and softer images encourage the imagination imo. As this one does. Beautiful shot.
