This elaborate building once housed one of Cheltenham's first electricity generating stations, built in the late 1890s in the style of Italian Renaissance architecture. It's now a boutique city centre hotel.

PS - I should have said "WAS" a snazzy building for power station; clearly someone saw the potential of this grand old structure!

it does stand out stylistically...you would want to ask for a room with a window in this place, as the top floor does not look promising..
