A Birds Eye View Of The New River

New River Gorge National Park, West Virginia

This image was photographed in the New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia. The clouds parted exposing the New River below on a very early morning visit. The New River is the oldest river on the North American continent and flows northward rather than southward like most rivers. It is also one of the most poplar rivers for white water rafting on the east coast and travels through some very rugged areas noted for massive rock cliffs. The New River is also rated as one of the top rivers in the United States for smallmouth bass fishing.

Shrouded in mystery it looks like a newly discovered land!
I love the way the light is falling on the river!
I need to see this.
