Buildings 9040157.jpg

Future neighbourhood

Apparently it is more cost-effective to build complete walls (studs, sheathing, etc) in a factory setting,
than paying carpenters to erect them on-site. This pile of walls likely will build several homes. I suspect that each "bundle"
represents a different room, whose address and designation are simply spray-painted on and delivered en masse.
All that's needed is to stand each wall upright, usually at 90° to another wall that has been wrangled upright
and propped in that position by a couple of 2x4s. A handful of nails and voila, the room is half done.

Everything is prefab now and puts craftsmen out of work.

With more and more people in the world, mass produced housing seems like the wave of the future.
