Garden of Magnolia (Jardi de la Magnolia) with the monument dedicated to Father Joaquim Rossello, prior of Lluc (1891-1901) and founder of the Missionaires of the Sacred Heart.
The sculpture is by Remigia Caubet native to Palma de Mallorca.
The Santuari de Lluc is a monastery and pilgrimage site in north-west Mallorca, located in the Tramuntana Mountains.
It was founded in the 13th century after a young shepherd named Lluc found a statue of the Virgin Mary on this very site.
Now we can see the Black Madonna statue 0 La Moreneta - behind the main altar of the sanctuary church, declared a "Minor Basilica" by Pope John XXIII in 1962.
The journey here by car takes you around many hairpin bends with stunning views.
