Müller Thurgau wines stand for tasty, sometimes flowery wines. The grape variety Müller-Thurgau bears its original name Rivaner after the originally suspected parent vines Riesling and Silvaner. With an area share of around 13 percent, the variety is still of outstanding importance in German viticulture. In Bavaria, more than a quarter of the area under vines is planted with the Müller-Thurgau variety.
