A monument to the rich trade connections on the Main. There was already a predecessor to the current Mainkran, which was built as a half-timbered construction. This was completely swept away by the most devastating flood of the last centuries in 1784. In the same year, Prince Johann Adam v. Schwarzenberg set up a new crane. The 16m high round tower has a diameter of 9.2m. Inside the tower is the well-preserved original double-wheel engine made of oak. The tower was in use until around 1900.
