Yellow Legged Mud Dabber 6-22-23

Inside our Solar Room

On a Hibiscus Plant

********************

A wasp inside my home was not something I was happy with...
But still, he did make a nice photo subject.

I've found that the more closely you look at the natural world, the more you learn to understand it. Understanding then makes one fear things less. Luckily, mud dabbers are not aggressive wasps. I was also able to encourage him to return outdoors without incident.

Fantastic close up shot! Yes, these guys are pretty benign and you are so right that the more one knows about nature the more one appreciates it instead of fearing it. I always think of all the creatures we encounter daily as just going about their lives as we do, seeking shelter, food, mate, rearing young.... V
