24th - Redundant?

Cheltenham, Glos.

Found this pile of coins lurking at the back of the kitchen draw at the weekend. I can't remember the last time I paid for anything with coins, it's all contactless now - I wonder if cash will go out of fashion anytime soon?

I lived in England when the first one pound coins came out and people didn't like them.
Coins continue to be used here. There are still many parking meters in our area, so each of our cars has a bag of Quarters.

I find myself searching for coins if I know I'm going to have to use a parking meter/road tolls.

pennies were discontinued over here ten years ago, costing more to make than their value...days are numbered for all coins...well done to cash in on the numismatic opportunity..
