Experimenting with the Powershot SX70 HS today out at the airport. We have a six inch mirror that is used occasionally to look in places that are hard to see. It seemed like a good idea to try a self portrait. The zoom was set at 100 mm which is about 550 mm equivalent. So I got some shots. When I looked at them more carefully back home I surmised that I need to practice smiling a lot more.

I have two keywords for these kinds of pictures: selfie and SP (self portrait). What's the difference? After pondering it a bit over a nice Manhattan garnished with a couple Luxardo cherries, I came to the conclusion that a selfie is a photo taken while holding the camera and a SP is a photo taken with a camera that is not hand held. So, today's photo is a self portrait, by my definition. I am going to have to go back to yesterday's images and correct them. They are also self portraits, not selfies. It pays to be consistent with keywords. The excitement never ends here on Ledgestone Drive.

I have dabbled in mirrors before, quite a while ago. Here is a photo taken through 11 mirrors in our master bathroom.
