I was meeting up with a friend for coffee and choose the Bisbee Breakfast Club as they offered a Rueben. There are several locations in Tucson- this was the one on Ina Road. The $14.29 Rueben is served with a choice of sides- I picked the Home Fries. A few sliced pickle chips were served on a piece of lettuce (could have done without the lettuce). Thething that I noticed with my first bite was that it was just a tad salty. I don’t recall experiencing that before with a Reuben. It was not like they got carried away with the salt, it was just that there was a tiny bit too much, IMHO. The corned beef was oh so tender- but there should have been more of it for that price. The marbled ryebread was toasted just right. Their Rueben sauce was pretty nondescript, and there should have been more use of Swiss cheese and sauerkraut. The pickle chip tasted ok for what it was, and the home fries were OK. I hate to say this, but my overall impression was that it was geared towards an older crowd who like blander food- it had a lot of potential, but I am going to give it a “C-”.
