Akron, Colorado

88% of Washington County land is devoted to agriculture, and Akron is an important storage and shipping point for area grains and other produce..if only a train had arrived at this moment, but no luck over 1/2 hour here

Akron is also the highest point (4,662 ft) on the BNSF rail line between Denver and Chicago, hence the name...akron is Greek for 'an elevation'

Interesting information, I just learned something new! Lots of different shapes and lines here, even the clouds are interesting looking.

Waiting for a train is akin to wildlife...great, elevated shot though; (as I return from GTC-MB)

This is really nicely captured with the leading lines, perspective and stellar lighting. So graphically strong with the varied shapes and forms of the buildings. VVV

At that elevation (and latitude), the growing season must surely be short, but evidently reliable ...

Nice perspective and good choice of focal length.

A part of the country and a sector I'm totally unfamiliar with, so I find this excellent capture quite illuminating.

Your POv is perfect for this to show all the variety of different buildings and structures of this grain complex. The tracks provide a great path leading the eye through the image too. Well done! ~BV~
