This old lens has a "macro" feature. It is only available
at the 80mm setting. When you twist it to macro mode you
can feel the lens elements moving to a significantly different
position. When in macro mode it will focus a little closer
than this wine bottle, but not by much. Even so, it is a
useful feature. This vintage lens is not up to modern optical
standards, but in my opinion it's good enough for many
applications. And it's fun to use the old glass.

A modern 70-200mm f/2.8 is bigger than this wine bottle,
but this vintage Tokina is much smaller. :)

Some of the old Tokina lenses are very good. Better than what they make now.
