Sweet peas grow wild in southern Italy and north-west Africa on dry slopes and in the Spanish foothills of the Pyrenees.
This species is declining in population due to uncontrolled collecting and trading.
Found in a nature reserve here in Bad Windsheim. The butterfly is a skipper butterfly.
