When GRAND URUSHI AOYAMA meet 輕津塗 Tsugaru Nuri ,Kara-nuri


Urushi dials are incredibly difficult to create and ours can only be handmade by a master lacquer artist. It takes at least two months to cure and has high rejection rates because just one speck of dust that lands on the dial during the curing process will ruin the dial and be rejected. This is even more so for the Grand Urushi Toyama because it has a pure dial without embellishments.
The Grand Urushi Aoyama is the only model of our watches that has to be purchased within Japan, and in-person at our Aoyama Salon. Limited to 188pcs it will not be repeated again once sold out.

To achieve the final look, the dial design models a process called Niiro
（煮色）-a method that translates to
"the boiling of color". After which it is coated with suki-urushi which is applied by hand and polished by the urushi master's fingertips.
With every step of its intricate process, Kurono believes in creating detailed quality that would not only accompany you but generations to come.
