12 Devil's Thumb

Boulder, CO

That is the family-friendly name given to this rocky outcropping on the Flatirons, west of Boulder. It's about four miles from my house, and possible to climb up to it. This was taken from the corner of my street. You can see this from my backyard, but only in the winter, when the trees don't obscure the view.

Found it. It's actually also called Devil's Thumb. I think Devil's Tooth is near Whistler, BC (a lot of Devils out there). Has the Devil been making us shoot these geologic features?

Anyway, I'm sharing two versions. One is in Exhibition and the other is in Pending. Happy to hear your feedback about either or both. It was a hazier day than when you shot, and I think the strong sun added harshness.

Plenty of time left to scan thru your Alaska photos and post Dave.

As a kid I remember this curving road on a steep hill that we all called the devils eyebrow. It got its name from stupid people doing stupid things and I would be amongst the stupid of stupid….. Legendary stupid, the more alcohol the more stupid. A long forgotten memory dredged backup with the simple mention of devil. Paul

Reminds me of Devil's Tooth in Alaska. That would have been a good Exhibition entry.
