New Cruise Terminal

Galveston Island. Texas

Voyager of the Seas berthed at the World's First Zero-Energy Cruise Terminal.
Royal Caribbean’s Galveston facility is a sustainable design and is the first LEED Zero Energy facility in the world, generating 100% of the energy it needs through onsite solar panels.
This $125 million investment, in collaboration with Royal Caribbean, the port and Ceres, brings 800 new jobs, $1.4 billion in local business services revenue, and $5.6 million in state and local taxes.

Nice to see. Now if they could just make solar panels really efficient! Neat shot.

I'll happily go and explore the PORT. I draw the line at walking over the gangplank, however.

Sounds like quite the impressive project. Great shot of the cruise liner as well. V.
