Alcúdia is the oldest city of the Balearic Islands, it was founded by the Phoenicians, in Roman times it flourished by the name of Pollentia.
In Alcúdia, the old town is well preserved, surrounded by a medieval wall and with houses dating back as far as to the 13th century.
Now, the town is the main tourist centre in the North of Majorca on the eastern coast.
