Alcúdia is the main tourist centre in the North of Majorca on the eastern coast.
The area where Alcúdia is located has been inhabited since the Bronze Age.
The Romans captured the island in 123 B.C.
In Alcúdia, the old town is well preserved, surrounded by a medieval wall and with houses dating back as far as to the 13th century.
